What is more effective for losing weight? High calorie/high intensity or low calorie/low intensity workouts?

Eating a healthy high calorie (2500+) diet and working out intensely (1+ hours a day); or eating a low calorie (1500 or less) diet and working out moderately (30 mins every other day). By the way I’m a 22yo male if that makes any difference.
