Michael Phelps, the Olympic swimming champion, and his 12,000 calorie diet?

I was always under the impression that eating too many calories is bad, what will induce them to be overweight so with Michael Phelps, with its thousands of gold medals to 8, consume 12,000 calories, many of those food industry, what that teaches us about the high-calorie diets? They are good for us, considering this and seeing his exceptional skill in the pond? I'm sure the question is on many people 's minds of Thanks to everyone in the show me the things i didn 't know, what swims many hours of the day, burning many of those calories he takes.
